It's the fiction event of the fall season. Tonight, TF1 will release its mini-series "Les Combattantes" at 9.10pm. Three years after the success of "Bazar de la charité" on the same channel, producer Iris Bucher (Quad Drama) has once again teamed up with director Alexandre Laurent for this historical and romantic fresco in eight episodes, which took over seven months to shoot. Two never-before-seen episodes will be available for the launch.
Viewers won't be disappointed, as they'll be reunited with the female cast of "Bazar de la charité", featuring Audrey Fleurot, Julie de Bona and Camille Lou, now joined by Sofia Essaïdi. They play four women living in a small village in eastern France in September 1914, when the First World War is just beginning. Just a few kilometers from the German zone, they find themselves thrust into the heart of horror.
Marguerite (Audrey Fleurot) is a mysterious prostitute accused of being a spy; Caroline (Sofia Essaïdi), wife of Victor Dewitt, owner of a car factory who has left for the front, finds herself propelled to the head of the family business; Agnès (Julie de Bona) is the mother superior of a requisitioned convent turned military hospital, who questions her life choices; and Suzanne (Camille Lou) is a young feminist nurse on the run after an abortion gone wrong.
