The first Airbus A330-800 of the airline Uganda Airlines came out of the paint shops, while theA330-200F of the low cost Wizz Air has arrived in Budapest.
The first of the two A330-800 ordered in april 2019 by the Ugandan national airline based at Entebbe airport left the Blagnac paint shop on October 16, 2020. Delivery of the MSN1977 is now scheduled for December.
Uganda Airlines, launched in August 2019plans to configure the Airspace cabin to accommodate 20 passengers in Business class, 28 in Premium and 213 in Economy (261 seats). It plans to use these two A330neo aircraft to launch its long-haul network, alongside the four CRJ900 Bombers dedicated to regional flights in East Africa.
To date, the smallest version of the A330neo has only recorded 14 controlswith a further eight for Kuwait Airways et quatre à des acheteurs anonymes. The low cost Wizz Air welcomed to its Budapest base a Airbus A330F racheté à Qatar Airways par le gouvernement hongrois, qui juge insuffisantes les capacités de fret disponibles dans le pays. L’appareil désormais immatriculé HA-LHU (ex A7-AFF) a quitté Doha dimanche pour se poser en début de soirée à l’aéroport Ferenc Listz ; il porte toujours les couleurs de la compagnie qatarie, mais pas ses logos. Sa capacité de fret sera vendue par une société de courtage spécialisée, Wizz Air n’ayant pas confirmé par qui il sera opéré.
