Titanicthe third highest-grossing film in history, and winner of eleven Oscars, returns to cinemas to mark its 25th anniversary. Directed by James Cameron and released in 1999, it grossed over $2 billion and was the highest-grossing film in history for twelve years. In 2009, it was dethroned by Avatarby the same director.
The new version of Titanic coming to theaters will be in 3D, 4K and remastered. What's more, it will feature 48 frames per second, just like the Avatar y Avatar: the meaning of waterknown as High frame rate o HFR. Paramount has released a trailer showing the changes we'll be able to experience at the cinema.
Written like a romantic epic, Titanic tells the story of Jack Dawson (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Rose DeWitt Bukater (Kate Winslet), two young people who meet and fall in love aboard the ocean liner on its maiden voyage from Southampton, England, to New York, USA, in 1912.
