Biathlon: the double for Lisa Vittozzi

Gold medallist on Saturday in the sprint of the Italian summer biathlon championships in Val Martello (Italy), Lisa Vittozzi (17/20) did it again on Sunday in the individual short. In the absence of Dorothea Wierer, forfeited after a string of races in recent weeksshe wins by 35 seconds over Linda Zingerle (20/20). Eleonora Fauner (19/20) climbs to the top of the podium ahead of Rebecca Passler (17/20), Michela Carrara (16/20), Latvia's Baiba Bendika (14/20), Hannah Auchentaller (15/20) and Federica Sanfilippo (11/20).

In the men's competition, it's Lukas Hofer (15/20), who has just completed a training course in Italy with the Swedes, who wins the title. In a tight race, he beat Patrick Braunhofer (17/20) by 27 seconds 6 and Tommaso Giacomel (14/20) by 28 seconds 7. Daniele Cappellari (18/20), Cedric Christille (17/20), Nicola Romanin, David Zingerle and Iacopo Leonesio follow in the rankings. Didier Bionazwith a 13/20, finished twelfth.

Gaia Brunetto and Elia Zeni take junior gold

In the junior category, Gaia Brunetto (18/20) wins the gold medal by more than a minute over Sara Scattolo (14/20). Birgit Schoelzhorn (14/20) completes the podium, nearly three minutes behind. In the men's category, Elia Zeni (19/20), who had already won the previous day, completed the double, beating out Marco Barale (19/20) and Thomas Daziano (19/20).

Finally, in the youth category, summer national titles went to Astrid Plosch (19/20), titled ahead of Nora Obojes (17/20) and Fabianna Carpela (15/20), and Nicola Giordano (16/20), faster than Davide Compagnoni (16/20) and Michele Carollo of a few seconds.
